A fearless storyteller both in front of and behind the camera, Prisca made an impressive mark with her award-winning directorial debut Returnee, a short film in which he also starred inspired by her own life experiences, the film explores identity, resilience, and the complexities of the African diaspora with striking honesty. Returnee captured international attention winning best French Short Film in the Cannes Lumiere short festival and earning multiple honors including best actress for the Durham Regional International Black and Diversity Film Festival, Best Actress at the Hollywood Discovery Awards, and best first time Filmmaker short at the Dublin International Film Awards along with nominations and selections across global festivals.
